Then, you can write:

[tex]\sqrt[]{-25}=\sqrt[]{(-1)(25)}=\sqrt[]{(-1)(5^2)}=5\sqrt[]{-1}=5i[/tex]

because i = √-1.

Hence, the answer is 5i
