A square-base prism has a volume of 1,296cm3. The height of the prism is 16cm. What is the length of one edge of a base of the prism?

The volume of a square-based prism is the base area multiplied by the height.

So 1296cm3 = Base Area * 16cm

Base Area = 81cm2

Since the Base Area is a square,

The length of the base is 9cm!
